The No 9005 alignment tool ensures a smooth knob or lever installation. Once the door is mortised, position the lockset in the door and screw one of the knurled components onto the provided spindle. Insert the alignment tool through the subroses and lockset. Screw down the knurled components on both sides until the subroses are tight against the door, and centered. Install screws and then remove knurled components. Once the knurled components are removed and the spindle is in the proper location, the knobs or levers may be installed.
