Nº 2008

The No 2008 lever was designed in 1917 for the Locust Valley residence of architect Harrie Lindeberg. The organic swelling of the handle, highlighted by a delicate rib, that ends in a volute suggests the influence of Gothic forms as well as the American Arts and Crafts movement. The stepped barrel-shaped shank, however, is decidedly modern. Recommended finishes include dark oxidized bronze, dark antique brass, pewter and a wide range of other plated and patinated finishes. The handle can be used with traditional full-mortise locksets or manufactured for use with multi-point doors and tilt & turn windows.The lever measures 4-5/8″ long with a projection of 2-1/8”.

Nº 2009

The ergonomic engineering of the Nº 2009 lever, designed for a Fifth Avenue residence in 1992, results in a beautiful sinuous form. The compound curve of the front edge creates a natural surface on which to rest the thumb. The oval rose is slightly domed. Recommended finishes include antique brass, polished nickel, polished brass, pewter and dark oxidized bronze as well as a vast range of other plated and patinated finishes. A variety of roses are also suitable for this handle. Nº 2011

The No 2011 Gothic-inspired lever originated in the late 19th to early 20th century when American buildings, apartment houses, universities and private residences were built with a Neo-Gothic flare. The high arched handle, detailed by three ribs, terminates in a cylindrical scroll. The quatrefoil foliate rose has two exposed screws, though a large selection of roses can be substituted. Recommended finishes include dark antique brass, dark pewter, polished brass and dark oxidized bronze. It is also available in many other NANZ plated and patinated finishes. The handle can be used with traditional full-mortise locksets or manufactured for use with multi-point doors and tilt & turn windows. The lever measures 4″ long with a projection of 2-7/8”.

The No 2012 lever, inspired by the French Moderne style of the 1930s, was designed for a New York City town house in 1994. The faceted handle, gently swelling and then tapering to a rounded end, forms a continuous curve with the shank. The lever is a marriage of composed functionalism and elegant design. Its linear form is best expressed in satin nickel, antique brass, polished nickel or pewter, but is available in a wide variety of other plated and patinated finishes. The handle, available in two sizes, can be paired with a variety of different roses. The No 2013B Georgian lever incorporates molding details which were part of the architectural vocabulary of 18th-century Neoclassicism. A beaded knurl accentuates the extremities of the tapering handle, ending in an ogival-shaped dome. The ogee profile is repeated on the face of the rose, which is ringed by a beaded knurl. The understated classicism allows the design to be used in a variety of interiors. The handle can be used with traditional full-mortise locksets or manufactured for use with multi-point doors and tilt & turn windows. All NANZ plated and patinated finishes are available. The No 2015 typifies early French Neoclassicism, being more robust than the later Adam-inspired English Neoclassicism. Curling acanthus leaves entwine the classic shank.
