The balloon-shaped No 1879 knob is based on a late 19th-century design. The forward-looking simplicity contrasts with the more ornamental designs of contemporary Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts styles. Polished finishes, including nickel and chrome, show the knob to best advantage, though patinated finishes are appropriate as well. All NANZ plated and patinated finishes are available. Backplates for cabinet knobs can be provided upon request at an additional cost.
