The No 1088 knob reflects the late 19th century’s turning to sources of inspiration beyond the classical vocabulary. The ornament consists of three concentric rings impressed into the surface of the knob, thereby juxtaposing a soft, organic shape with the solid knob body. The restrained, elegant design of the knob and rose also appears strikingly modern. Recommended finishes include brass, nickel, antique silver or dark oxidized bronze, though the knob is available in all Nanz finishes. It can be provided in 2″, 2-1/4″, 2-1/2″, and 3″ diameters for doors, as well as in 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, and 1-3/4″ diameters suitable for cabinetry. Backplates for cabinet knobs can be provided upon request at an additional cost and alternative rose designs are available. Full mortise entry locks, privacy locks, passage latches, as well as tubular latches can be provided for use with this knob.
