The paumelle cabinet hinge has taken an 18th-century French design and stripped all superfluous ornament to an essential form. The upper and lower cylindrical knuckles, each ending with a slight radius, are separated by a disk-shaped bearing. It measures 2-1/2” x 2” with a leaf gauge of 0.110” and a knuckle diameter of 3/8”. Other custom sizes can be ordered. The hinge is handed, right hand hinge shown. It is available in a variety of plated and patinated finishes.
