Nº 2522

Milan’s Villa Necchi Campiglio was designed by architect Piero Portoluppi in 1932 for Angelo Campiglio and his wife, Gigina Necchi. The industrialist family was best known for the famed Necchi enameled sewing machine. The No 2522 is the lever used throughout the residence and is manufactured with proprietary tooling created from dimensioned drawings produced in Milan. A robust and masculine handle grounded in the Italian Moderne style, the lever is cast in bronze and may be provided in all plated and patinated finishes. The handle may be used for interior or exterior doors and windows and can serve as the basis from which a fixed pull for all uses may be designed. Of note, the Villa played a central role in Luca Guadagnino’s 2010 film, “I Am Love”, starring actress Tilda Swinton.
