Nº 1879

The balloon-shaped No 1879 knob is based on a late 19th-century design. The forward-looking simplicity contrasts with the more ornamental designs of contemporary Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts styles. The large disk-shaped rose with three exposed screws rises slightly at the center and forms a step at the juncture of the shank. Polished finishes, including nickel and chrome, show the knob to best advantage, though patinated finishes are appropriate as well. All Nanz plated and patinated finishes are available. Backplates for cabinet knobs can be provided upon request at an additional cost. Full mortise entry locks, privacy locks, passage latches, as well as tubular latches can be provided for use with this knob. It measures 1-5/8″ in diameter with a projection of 3” and can also be provided in 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, and 1-1/2″ diameters suitable for cabinetry.
