The No 1187 knob was designed for a private New York club in the earlier 20th century. Five grooves extend over the edge, radiating from a sunken button-shaped disk. The straight shank flares at the lower end where it meets the shallow ogival rose. The knob measures 2-1/4″ in diameter with a projection of 2-3/4”. Appropriate finishes include antique brass, dark oxidized bronze, and burnished brass.
