Nº 1018

A client once said, “If you looked up the word doorknob in the dictionary, you would see a picture of the No 1018.” The No 1018 round knob is an early 20th-century adaptation of an 18th-century Georgian design. The simplistic and classic proportions make the knob suitable for contemporary as well as traditional interiors. A polished finish emphasizes the simplicity of the knob, while a patinated finish highlights the molding details of the shank and rose. This handle is frequently specified with alternate backplates, especially roped or beaded versions, to give the knob a more ornate appearance. A cabinet version, the No 8018, is also available in smaller diameters. Backplates for cabinet knobs are available upon request at an additional cost. Full mortise entry locks, privacy locks, passage latches and tubular latches may be provided for use with this knob. All Nanz finishes are available.
