Associate Accounting Manager - New York, NY

Responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial statements and reports for the company's main account and related subsidiary accounts. Responsible for balancing Inter/Intra company accounts, evaluating expenses, processing petty cash charges and employee reimbursements. Work closely with outside accountants and CPAs on all accounting procedures for the preparation of year-end financial reports as per accounting regulatory standards. Create budgets for each department and ensure strict compliance with established budgets. Continuously monitor departmental spending to ensure efficient use of company resources. Analyze and identify financial trends and review company’s financial health with management in an effort to implement fiscally sound operational strategies. Make determinations and recommendations regarding the repatriation of funds held in foreign subsidiaries and partner. Supervise maintaining the accounts payables/receivables functions. Administer payroll system, and create & maintain comprehensive human resource files for all employees, including wage increases & reviews, insurance benefits & eligibility, deductions, garnishments, and related information. Administer all health insurance and employee benefit accounts. Execute special projects as determined by management. Supervise Budget Analyst and administrative positions within the department. Ensure accuracy through process auditing, spot-checking and other quality control measures. Prepare internal and external auditing schedules and coordinate audit activities, Implement company's accounting policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field plus 1 year experience in the position offered or Budget Analyst, Bookkeeper/Accountant or related position;
2. One (1) year of budget analysis experience and working with principles of financial managerial accounting, practices and procedures for corporate accounting, controlling, reporting and analysis by utilizing Financial Accounting Standards (FAS), and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles);
3. One (1) year performing financial and quantitative analysis for the preparation of financial statements, forecasts and reports to manage and support accounting and controlling functions;
4. One (1) year experience with financial reporting and forecasting by utilizing QuickBooks, Quicken, Turbo Tax Preparation Software, Microsoft Suite;
5. One (1) year of management experience;
6. Experience can be concurrent; and
7. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience that is equivalent to the actual minimum requirements of the position and shows demonstrable ability in the skill sets required for the position.
